Planned roadworks in Bristol, Gloucestershire, Somerset, BANES, Wiltshire, West Dorset and Devon: Weekly summary for Monday 9 - Sunday 15 March 2015

The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of the above date but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.

Bristol

M5 Junction 16: Pinch Point Improvement Scheme

Narrow lanes on northbound exit slip road will be in operation until the middle of April 2015.

The M4 westbound to M5 southbound link and the M4 westbound to M5 northbound link will be closed overnight from 9pm on Wednesday 11 March until 6am the following morning. Diversions will be clearly signposted.

M5 Junction 18: Bridge repairs

The southbound entry and exit slip road will be closed overnight from 8pm on Wednesday 11 March until 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

M48 Junction 2: Resurfacing

The eastbound carriageway at Junction 2 will be closed between 9.30am and 5pm on Wednesday 11 March. Traffic will be diverted on to the roundabout at Junction 2 and back off again.

Gloucestershire

M5 Junction 10: Bridge repairs

Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions will be in place on the southbound carriageway until October 2015.

M5 Junction 14 – 15: Geotechnical works

Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions will be in place on the southbound carriageway until the end of March 2015.

A40 Over Roundabout: Pinch Point Improvement Scheme

Narrows lanes will be in place and daytime lane closures will take place until end of March 2015.

Wiltshire

M4 Junction 17 – 18: Barrier installation

Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions on both carriageways will be in place until the middle of April 2015.

M4 Junction 16 – 17: Geotechnical works

Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions on the westbound carriageway will be in place until the middle of March 2015.

A303 Countess Roundabout to Parkhouse Junction: Resurfacing

The westbound carriageway will be closed overnight from Monday 9 March until Saturday 14 March between 8pm and 6am the following morning. Lane 1 will also be closed during the daytime on these dates. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

A303 Countess Roundabout to Solstice Park: Resurfacing

The eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight from Friday 13 March until Monday 16 March between 8pm and 6am the following morning. Diversions will be clearly signposted.

North Somerset

M5 Junction 19: Bridge Repairs

The northbound carriageway will be closed overnight from Sunday 8 March until Wednesday 11 March between 8pm and 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

M5 Junction 19: Resurfacing

The southbound entry slip road will be closed overnight from Monday 9 March until Wednesday 11 March between 8pm and 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

Somerset

M5 between Junction 23 – 24: Structures

Narrow lanes with a width restriction of 6.0 metres, contraflows and speed restrictions will be in place on both carriageways until the middle of March 2015.

Full overnight closures of both the northbound and southbound carriageways, the northbound entry slip road at Junction 24 and the southbound entry slip road at Junction 23 will take place from Wednesday 11 March until Friday 13 March between 8pm and 6am the following morning. Diversions will be clearly signposted.

BANES

A36 between Claverton and Dundas Aquduct: Barrier and embankment stabilisation

Both northbound and southbound carriageways of the A36 will remain closed until early July 2015. Diversions are clearly signposted.

West Dorset

No planned works.

Devon (M5 only)

M5 between Junction 28 – 29: Barrier works

The hard shoulder and lane 1 will be temporarily closed at various locations until the end of March 2015.

M5 Junction 27: Pinch Point Improvement scheme

The hard shoulder and lane 1 of the southbound exit slip road will be closed until end of March 2015. Full overnight closures of the southbound exit slip road will take place on Monday 9 March and Friday 13 March between 8pm and 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

M5 Junction 28 - 29: Barrier Improvements

Two narrow lanes will be in operation in both directions until end of March 2015.

M5 Junction 30: Pinch Point Improvement scheme

Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions will be in operation on the southbound exit slip road until 30 April 2015.

A full overnight closure of the southbound exit slip road will take place on Monday 9 March between 8pm and 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
