Planned roadworks in Bristol, Gloucestershire, Somerset, BANES, Wiltshire, West Dorset and Devon: weekly summary for Monday 7 December to Sunday 13 December 2015
The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of the above date but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.
Bristol
M4 between slip roads junction 19: drainage
Full eastbound carriageway will be closed nightly between the off and on slips from 10pm on 7 December until 6am on 9 December. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
M4 between junction 19 – 20: smart motorway sign replacement
Full eastbound carriageway will be closed from 10pm on 9 December until 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
M4 Second Severn Crossing
Full eastbound carriageway will be closed nightly from 8pm on 12 December until 6am on 14 December. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
M5 between junction 17 – 16: smart motorway sign replacement
Full northbound carriageway will be closed from 10pm on 8 December until 6am on the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
M5 between junction 16 – 17: smart motorway sign replacement
Full southbound carriageway will be closed from 10pm on 11 December until 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
Gloucestershire
M5 junction 13 - 15: drainage works
Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions will be in place on the southbound and northbound carriageway until March 2016.
M5 junction 14 - 12: bridge maintenance
Narrow lanes northbound with 50mph speed restrictions will be in place on the southbound and northbound carriageway until October 2016.
M5 junction 11a: cable repair
Full southbound exit slip road (Victor Slip) will be closed from 8pmon 7 December until 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
A40 Huntley: traffic signal renewals
24 hour multiway lights in operation from 6am on 23 November until 6pm on 8 January 2016.
Wiltshire
A303 Deptford to Furzehedge: resurfacing
Full westbound carriageway will be closed nightly from 8pm on 7 December until 6am on 9 December. Diversions will be clearly signposted.
A303 Exit to A36 Deptford interchange: traffic signal renewal
Full Slip road closed nightly from 8pm on 9 December until 6am on 16 December. Diversions will be clearly signposted.
North Somerset

Full carriageway closed from 8pm on 7 December to 6am the following morning. Diversions will be clearly signposted.
A36 Ilminster to Devonshire House: resurfacing
Full carriageway closed from 8pm on 7 December to 6am the following morning. Diversions will be clearly signposted.
A36 South Petherton to Ilminster: resurfacing
Full eastbound carriageway closed nightly from 8pm on 8 December to 6am on 12 December. Diversions will be clearly signposted.
BANES

Devon (M5 only)
M5 junction 30 – 28: bridge maintenance
Northbound and southbound lane 3 closed 24/7 with narrow lanes in operation from 6am on 7 November until 7 December southbound and 10 December northbound.
M5 junction 30 – 29: removal of above narrow lanes
Full northbound carriageway will be closed nightly from 8pm on 5 December until 6am on 7 December. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
M5 junction 29 – 30: removal of above narrow lanes
Full southbound carriageway will be closed from 8pm on 7 December until 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
