Planned roadworks in Bristol, Gloucestershire, Somerset, BANES, Wiltshire, West Dorset and Devon: Weekly summary for Monday 5 January – Sunday 11 January 2015

The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of the above date but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.

Bristol

M4 Junction 18 : Resurfacing Full Eastbound exit slip will be closed nightly from from 9pm Friday 9 January until 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

Gloucestershire

M5 Junction 11a – 12: Bridge repairs Narrow lanes and 50 mph speed restrictions will be in place until April 2015.

M5 Junction 11 – 10: Bridge repairs Narrow lanes and 50 mph speed restrictions will be in place until May 2015.

M5 Junction 10: Bridge Repairs Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restriction on the southbound carriageway will be in place until October 2015.

A40 Longford rbt to Elmbridge Court rbt: Resurfacing Full carriageway closure will take place nightly from 8pm Tuesday 6 January until 6am Saturday 10 January. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

A40 Over Rbt: Improvements Pinch Point Scheme Day time lanes closures with narrows lanes 24/7 will take place from 9pm Sunday 4 Jan. Works are likely to be in place until end of March 2015.

Wiltshire

A36 Upton Lovell: Improvements 24 hour temporary traffic signals will be in operation until the mid February 2015.

M4 Junction 15: Resurfacing Full Eastbound exit slip will be closed nightly from 10pm Tuesday 16 January until 6am Wednesday 14 January. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

North Somerset

No planned works

Somerset

M5 between Junction 23 – 24: Structures Phase 2 or works consist of narrow lanes with a width restriction of 4.8 metres on the southbound carriageway, contraflows and speed restrictions will be in place during the day. Work is expected to continue until mid January 2015 when phase 3 will be implemented.

M5 Junction 23 and 24: Resurfacing Full carriageway closure northbound and southbound including Junction 23 southbound entry slip and Junction24 northbound entry slip will take place from 8pm Thursday 8 Jan until 8am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

BANES

No planned works.

West Dorset

No planned works.

Devon (M5 only)

M5 between Junction 28 – 29: Barrier works 24/ 7 hardshoulder and lane 1 will be closed from 6am Monday 5 January and will be in place at various locations until end March 2015.

M5 Junction 27 exit slip: Improvements – Pinch Point

24/7 hardshoulder and lane 1 closed on southbound exit slip until end of March 2015. Full southbound exit slip will be closed from 9pm Sunday 4th January until 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
