Planned roadworks in Bristol, Gloucestershire, Somerset, BANES, Wiltshire, West Dorset and Devon: Weekly summary for Monday 3 August - Sunday 9 August 2015
The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of the above date but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.
Bristol
M4 Junction 20 – 19 : maintenance
Full eastbound closure including full link closures of the M5 southbound link to the M4 eastbound, M5 southbound link to M4 westbound and M5 northbound link to the M4 eastbound link nightly from 9pm Monday 3 August until 6am Thursday 6 August. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
M5 Junction 14 – 15: maintenance
Full southbound closure including full link closures from M5 southbound link to M4 eastbound and M5 southbound link to M4 westbound link from 9pm Thursday 6 August until 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
M4 Junction 20: maintenance
Full M4 eastbound link to M5 southbound will be closed from 9pm Friday 7th August until 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
M48 Junction 0 - 1: resurfacing
Full westbound closure will take place nightly from 8pm Tuesday 4 August until 6am Friday 7 August. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
M5 Junction 18A: barrier works
Full southbound entry slip closure nightly from 10pm Monday 3 August until 6am Friday 21 August. (Monday to Friday only) Diversion will be clearly signposted. Please note: not being used on the night of the 6 August.
Gloucestershire
M5 Junction 10: bridge repairs
Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions will be in place on the southbound and northbound carriageway until October 2015.
A40 Walham Viaduct: structure improvements
Traffic tidal flows in operation. Traffic will be closed for westbound traffic from midnight until 12 noon. Traffic will be closed for eastbound traffic from 12 noon until midnight until late August 2015.
A40 Walham between Over roundabout and Longford roundabout: resurfacing
Full eastbound and westbound closure in operation nightly from 8pm Thursday 7th August until 6am Monday 10 August. Diversion will be clearly signposted. Please note: as from 6am each morning within this duration this will revert back to the above eg. westbound closed until 12 noon etc.
Wiltshire
A36 Castle street slip roads: surveys
Full northbound slip road closures will take place from 8pm Thursday 6 August until 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

Full southbound slip road closures will take place from 8pm Friday 7 August until 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
North Somerset
M5 junction 20 : survey
Full northbound entry slip will be closed from 8pm Monday 3 August until 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

M5 junction 28: improvements scheme
Various closures on the southbound exit slip road until August 2015.
