Planned roadworks in Bristol, Gloucestershire, Somerset, BANES, Wiltshire, West Dorset and Devon: Weekly summary for Monday 16 - Sunday 22 March 2015

The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of the above date but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.

Bristol

M5 Junction 16: Pinch Point Improvement Scheme

Narrow lanes on northbound exit slip road will be in operation until the end of March 2015.

Full closure of the northbound exit slip road will take place from 8pm on Friday 20 March until 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

Full closure of the northbound exit slip road will take place from 8pm on Sunday 22 March until 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

M32 Junction 1: Ducting works

The southbound entry slip road will be closed from 8pm on Monday 16 March until 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

M4 Junction 18: Resurfacing

The eastbound exit slip road will be closed overnight from 8pm Tuesday 17 March until 6am on Thursday 19 March. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

A46 Swainswick: Maintenance

The southbound exit slip road will be closed from 9pm on Thursday 19 March until 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

Gloucestershire

M5 Junction 9: Resurfacing

The southbound entry slip road will be closed overnight from 8pm on Monday 16 March until 6am on Saturday 21 March. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

M5 Junction 10: Bridge repairs

Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions will be in place on the southbound carriageway until October 2015.

M5 Junction 11A: Communications

The southbound entry slip road will be closed overnight from 8pm on Monday 16 March until 6am on Wednesday 18 March 2015. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

M5 Junction 11A: Communications

The southbound exit slip road will be closed overnight from 8pm on Monday 16 March until 6am on Saturday 28 March 2015. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

M5 Junction 14 – 15: Geotechnical works

Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions will be in place on the southbound carriageway until the end of March 2015.

A40 Over Roundabout: Pinch Point Improvement Scheme

Narrows lanes will be in place and daytime lane closures will take place until end of March 2015.

Wiltshire

M4 Junction 17 – 18: Barrier installation

Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions on both carriageways will be in place until the middle of April 2015.

The eastbound carriageway and the eastbound entry slip road will be closed overnight from 9pm on Friday 20 March until 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

The westbound carriageway and the westbound entry slip road will be closed overnight from 9pm on Saturday 21 March until 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

A303 Parkhouse to Countess Roundabout: Resurfacing

The westbound carriageway will be closed overnight from 8pm on Monday 16 March until 6am on Friday 20 March. There will also be lane closures during the hours of 6am to 8pm daily. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

A303 Countess Junction to Parkhouse: Resurfacing

The eastbound carriageway will be closed from 8pm on Thursday 19 March until 6am on Friday 20 March. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

North Somerset

No planned works

Somerset

M5 between Junction 23 – 24: Structures

Narrow lanes with a width restriction of 6.0 metres, contraflows and speed restrictions will be in place on both carriageways until the end of March 2015.

BANES

A36 between Claverton and Dundas Aquduct: Barrier and embankment stabilisation

Both northbound and southbound carriageways of the A36 will remain closed until early July 2015. Diversions are clearly signposted.

West Dorset

No planned works.

Devon (M5 only)

M5 Junction 27: Pinch Point Improvement scheme

The hard shoulder and lane 1 of the southbound exit slip road will be closed until end of March 2015.

Full overnight closures of the southbound exit slip road will take place from Thursday 19 March until Monday 30 March between 8pm and 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

M5 Junction 28 - 29: Barrier Improvements

Two narrow lanes will be in operation in both directions until end of March 2015.

M5 Junction 30: Pinch Point Improvement scheme

Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions will be in operation on the southbound exit slip road until 30 April 2015.
