Planned roadworks in Bristol, Gloucestershire, Somerset, BANES, Wiltshire, West Dorset and Devon: Weekly summary for Monday 16 February - Sunday 22 February 2015

The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of the above date but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.

Bristol

M5 Junction 16: Pinch Point Improvement Scheme

Narrow lanes on northbound exit slip road will be in operation until mid April 2015.

M5 Junction 17: Communications

Southbound exit slip road will be closed overnight from Monday 16 February until Thursday 19 February between 9pm and 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

M48 Junction 2: Resurfacing

The eastbound carriageway will be closed from 9.30am until 5pm on Thursday 19 February. Diversion will be via the entry and exit slip roads at Junction 2.

M4 Junction 18: White line painting

The westbound entry slip road will be closed from midnight on Monday 16 February until 2am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

M4 Junction 19: White line painting

The eastbound entry slip road will be closed from midnight on Tuesday 17 February until 2am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

M4 Junction 17: White line painting

The eastbound entry slip road will be closed from midnight on Friday 20 February until 2am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

Gloucestershire

M5 Junction 11a – 12: Bridge repairs

Narrow lanes and 50 mph speed restrictions will be in place until the end of February 2015.

M5 Junction 11 – 10: Bridge repairs

Narrow lanes and 50 mph speed restrictions will be in place until the end of February 2015.

M5 Junction 11A: Communications

Southbound entry slip road will be closed overnight from Monday 16 February until Wednesday 18 February between 9pm and 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

M5 Junction 10: Bridge repairs

Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions will be in place on the southbound carriageway until October 2015.

M5 Junction 14 – 15: Geotechnical works

Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions will be in place on the southbound carriageway until March 2015.

A40 Over Roundabout: Pinch Point Improvement Scheme

Narrows lanes will be in place and daytime lane closures will take place until end of March 2015.

Wiltshire

A36 Upton Lovell: Improvements

24 hour temporary traffic signals will be in operation until the end of February 2015.

M4 Junction 17 – 18: Barrier installation

Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions on both carriageways will be in place until mid April 2015.

M4 Junction 16 – 17: Geotechnical works

Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions on the westbound carriageway will be in place until mid March 2015.

A303 Countess Roundabout to Parkhouse Junction: Resurfacing

The eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight from Monday 9 February until Tuesday 17 February between 8pm and 6am the following morning. Lane 1 will also be closed on these dates. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

The westbound carriageway will be closed overnight from Tuesday 17 February until Friday 27 February between 8pm and 6am the following morning. Lane 1 will also be closed on these dates. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

North Somerset

Somerset

M5 between Junction 23 – 24: Structures

Narrow lanes with a width restriction of 4.8 metres, contraflows and speed restrictions will be in place on the southbound carriageway until mid February 2015. Overnight contraflows in both directions with a width restriction of 6 metres will be in place on Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 February between 9pm and 6am the following morning.

M5 between Junction 23 – 24: Change of Traffic management configuration

The southbound carriageway and the southbound entry slip road at Junction 23 will be closed overnight from 8pm on Wednesday 18 February until 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

The northbound carriageway and the northbound entry slip road at Junction 24 will be closed overnight from 8pm on Thursday 19 February until 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

A303 Sparkford to Mere: Resurfacing

The eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight from Tuesday 17 February until Thursday 19 February between 8pm and 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

BANES

No planned works

West Dorset

No planned works.

Devon (M5 only)

M5 between Junction 28 – 29: Barrier works

The hard shoulder and lane 1 will be temporarily closed at various locations until the end March 2015.

M5 Junction 27: Pinch Point Improvement scheme

The hard shoulder and lane 1 of the southbound exit slip road will be closed until end of March 2015.

M5 Junction 28 - 29: Barrier Improvements

Two narrow lanes will be in operation in both directions until June 2015.

M5 Junction 30: Pinch Point Improvement scheme

Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions will be in operation on the southbound exit slip road until 30 April 2015.
