The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of the above date but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.
Bristol
M32 junction 1 to 2: Metro Bus scheme (Bristol City Council works)
There will be narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions in operation northbound and southbound until the end of September 2016.
M5 junction 18a to 17 (Hallen Hill): drainage and carriageway repairs
There will be narrow lanes (northbound only) in operation during the day (three lane capacity) with overnight full closures from 9pm nightly until 6am on 20 March. The diversion will be clearly signposted.
M5 junction 18: resurfacing
The southbound exit slip will be closed nightly from 8pm on 14 March until 6am on 19 March. The diversion will be clearly signposted.
M48 Severn Bridge: cable repairs
There will be a full westbound carriageway closure including the westbound junction 1 entry slip road from 7.30pm until 6am the following morning. The diversion will be clearly signposted.
Gloucestershire
M5 junction 13 to 15: drainage work
Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions will be in place on the southbound and northbound carriageway until April 2016.
M5 junction 14 to12: bridge maintenance
Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions will be in place on the southbound and northbound carriageway until February 2017.
M5 junction 13: bridge maintenance
The southbound entry slip will be closed nightly from 8pm on 14 March until 6am on 24 March. The diversion will be clearly signposted.
Wiltshire
A36 Beckington (A361 junction to A350 junction): white lining
The carriageway will be closed from 9pm on 14 March until 6am the following morning. The diversion will be clearly signposted.
North Somerset
M5 junction 19: general maintenance
The northbound entry slip will be closed nightly from 8pm on 20 March until 6am on 22 March. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
Somerset
M5 junction 23: bridge maintenance
The northbound exit slip will be closed from 8pm on 17 March until 6am the following morning. The diversion will be clearly signposted.
A303 Cartgate to Ilchester Meads: white lining
A full eastbound carriageway closure will take place nightly from 9pm on 15 March until 6am on 19 March. The diversion will be clearly signposted.
