Planned roadworks in Bristol, Gloucestershire, Somerset, BANES, Wiltshire, West Dorset and Devon: Weekly summary for Monday 10 November – Sunday 16 November 2014

The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of the above date but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible

Bristol

M4 Second Severn Bridge: Maintenance

Full closure of the westbound carriageway will be in place from 10pm on Saturday 15 November until 6am on Sunday 16 November. Diversion will be clearly sign posted.

M48 Severn Bridge: Maintenance

Full carriageway closure between the eastbound exit and entry slip road will be in place daily from 9.30am Tuesday 11th November until 5pm Wednesday 12 November. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

M4 Junction 19: Communications

Full closure on the westbound carriageway over the top of the junction from 10pm will be in place on Monday 10 November until 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

M4/M4 Almondsbury Interchange: Communications

Full closure of the M5 southbound link to M4 eastbound link from will be in place from 8pm on Wednesday 12 November until 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

M5 between Junction 15 – 16: Communications

Southbound carriageway will be closed from 9pm on Tuesday 11 November until 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

Gloucestershire

M5 Junction 11a – Junction 12: Bridge repairs

Narrow lanes with a width restriction of 5 metres, contraflows and speed restrictions will be in place during the day and occasional slip road and full carriageway closures will take place overnight. Work is expected to continue until June 2015.

M5 Junction 11 – 10: Bridge repairs

Narrow lanes and 50 mph speed restrictions will be in place until May 2015.

M5 Junction 10: Bridge Repairs

Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restriction on the southbound carriageway will be in place until October 2015.

Wiltshire

M4 Junction 15 – 16: Geotechnical repairs

Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions will be in place on the westbound carriageway until early December 2014.

A36 Upton Lovell: Improvements

24 hour temporary traffic signals will be in operation to carry out improvements until end of December 2014.

North Somerset

M5 between Junction 21 – 22: Barrier Works

Narrow lanes with two lanes running with 50mph speed restriction will be in place northbound and southbound from Thursday 6 November until late December 2014.

Somerset

M5 between Junction 23 – 24: Structures

Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions will be in place northbound and southbound until mid December as phase 1 of works.

A303 Wincanton to Sparkford: Resurfacing

The westbound carriageway, slip road and layby will be closed from 8pm until 6am from Wednesday 15 October until Monday 10 November. Lane closures will be in place between 6am and 9pm at the weekends and daytime in the week. The diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A303 Sparkford to Mere: Resurfacing

Full carriageway, slip road and layby will be closed from 8pm until 6am from Monday 10 November until Saturday 6 December. Lane closures will be in place between 6am and 9pm at the weekends and daytime in the week. The diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A36 between A27 and Ower roundabout: Resurfacing

Full carriageway closure will take place nightly from 8pm until 6am, from Sunday 9 November until Friday 14 November. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
