Planned roadworks in and around the M25: Weekly summary for Monday 17 November - Sunday 23 November

The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of 17 November 2014 but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.

M1 junction 3, Hertfordshire: Litter clearance

The southbound entry and exit slip roads will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Thursday 20 November. A clearly signed diversion for the entry slip road will be in place via junction 5. A clearly signed diversion for the exit slip road will be in place via junction 1.

M1 junction 4, Hertfordshire: Carriageway retexturing

The southbound exit slip road will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, on Tuesday 18 November. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 1, A1 and A41.

M3 junctions 2 to 3, Surrey: Major improvement

The westbound carriageway will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, on Monday 17 November. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the M25 junction 13, A30 and A322.

M4 junction 5, Berkshire: Carriageway sweeping

The westbound exit slip road will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Monday 17 November. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 6.

M4 junction 4b, West Drayton: Carriageway sweeping

The westbound link road to the M25 clockwise and anti-clockwise will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Thursday 20 November. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 5.

M20 junction 1, Kent: Lighting renewal work

The westbound link road to the anti-clockwise M25 will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, for four nights from Monday 17 November. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the M25 junction 3 roundabout.

M23 junction 8, Surrey: Retexturing

The southbound exit slip will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5:30am, on Monday 17 November. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 9.

M25 junction 12, Surrey: Major improvement

The clockwise and anti-clockwise link roads to the M3 westbound will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, on Monday 17 November. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the M25 junction 13, A30, A322 and M3.

M25 junction 14 & T5, Middlesex: Carriageway sweeping

The anti-clockwise exit and entry slip roads will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Thursday 20 November. A clearly signed diversion for the entry slip road (including T5 entry) will be in place via the A3113, A3044, A30 to join M25 at junction 13. A clearly signed diversion for the exit slip road (including T5 exit) will be in place via junction 13.

M25 junction 15, Greater London: Carriageway sweeping/retexturing work

The clockwise link road to the M4 westbound will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Monday 17 November. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 17. The anti-clockwise link roads to the M4 east and west bound carriageways will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, for two nights from Tuesday 18 November. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 14.

M25 junction 17, Buckinghamshire : Carriageway resurfacing

The anti-clockwise exit slip road will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, for two nights from Monday 17 November. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 16 and the M40 junction 1.

M25 junction 23, South Mimms: Carriageway sweeping

The clockwise entry and exit slip roads will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Monday 17 November. A clearly signed diversion for the entry slip road will be in place via junction 22. A clearly signed diversion for the exit slip road will be in place via junction 24.

M25 junction 24, Potters Bar: Carriageway sweeping

The clockwise entry and exit slip roads will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Tuesday 18 November. A clearly signed diversion for the entry slip road will be in place via junction 23. A clearly signed diversion for the exit slip road will be in place via junction 25.

M25 junction 25, Essex: Carriageway sweeping

The clockwise entry and exit slip roads will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Thursday 20 November. A clearly signed diversion for the entry slip road will be in place via junction 24. A clearly signed diversion for the exit slip road will be in place via junction 26.

M25 junction 26, Essex: Major improvement

The anti-clockwise entry and exit slip roads will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, for two nights from Monday 17 November. A clearly signed diversion route for the entry slip road will be in place via junction 28. A clearly signed diversion for the exit slip road will be in place via junction 25.

M25 junction 27, Essex: Carriageway surfacing

The clockwise link road to the M11 southbound will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, for five nights from Monday 17 November. Work on Friday night will start at 11pm. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 28.

M25 junction 31, Essex : Carriageway resurfacing

The anti-clockwise exit slip road will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, for two nights from Wednesday 19 November. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 30.

A282 junction 1a, Kent: Signage work

The anti-clockwise entry slip road will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5:30am, for three nights from Monday 17 November. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 1b.

A282 junction 2, Kent: Signage work

The anti-clockwise carriageway and entry slip road will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5:30am, for five nights from Monday 17 November. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the link road to junction 1b.

A282 (M25) Dartford – Thurrock Crossing: Maintenance work

The following closures will be in place, with fully signed diversions for oversized vehicles for the northbound east tunnel closures.

  • Monday 17 November (10pm to 5am): northbound West Tunnel
  • Tuesday 18 November (10pm to 5am): northbound West Tunnel
  • Wednesday 19 November (10pm to 5am): northbound West Tunnel
  • Thursday 20 November (10pm to 5am): northbound West Tunnel
  • Friday 21 November (10pm to 5am): northbound West Tunnel
  • Saturday 22 November (10pm to 5am) northbound East Tunnel
  • Sunday 23 November (10pm to 5am) northbound West Tunnel

A406, Greater London: Litter clearance/Carriageway sweeping

The eastbound link road to the M1 northbound will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 1.30am, on Wednesday 19 November. The westbound link road to the M1 northbound will be closed overnight, between 1.30am and 5am, on Thursday 20 November. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via Brent Cross.

A1089 Tilbury, Essex: Structure maintenance

The carriageway between the Asda roundabout and the Tilbury Docks entrance road will be operating a contraflow system overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, for five nights from Monday 17 November. Work overnight on Friday will be between 11pm and 6am. Any abnormal loads wishing to pass through the contraflow will be required to pull into the layby either side of the works and call to be escorted.
