Planned road works in West Midlands: weekly summary for Monday 7 November to Sunday 13 November 2016
Planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week.
The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of 4 November 2016 but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.
A38 – Streethay northbound exit slip road and southbound entry slip road: carriageway work
The slip roads will be closed 24 hours a day from 24 July until 11 November. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A38 – Hilliards Cross exit slip road: carriageway work
The northbound exit slip road will be closed 24 hours a day from 24 August until 21 December. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A38 – Branston to Claymills associated slip roads: carriageway work
The carriageway will be closed in both directions overnight between 9.30pm and 6am from 7 November until 9 November. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A38 – Toyota exit slip road: grass cutting
The northbound exit slip road will be closed overnight for one night from 10pm 9 November until 6am the following morning (10 November). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A45 – Ryton exit slip road: technology work
The westbound exit slip road will be closed overnight for one night from 10pm on 10 November until 5am the following morning (11 November). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A46 – M40 junction 15 roundabout: carriageway repairs
The roundabout will be closed overnight between 9pm and 6am from 7 November until 9 November. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A5 – Ogley Hay to Rising Sun roundabout: carriageway repairs
The carriageway will be closed in both directions overnight between 9pm and 6am from 7 November until 10 November. Please note the carriageway will not be closed in one direction each night. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A500 – A5006 from Michelin roundabout and A500 northbound sideway slip road: material deliveries
The northbound carriageway and slip road will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 7 November until 13 November. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A500 – Talke Island: bridge work
The westside of the island will be closed for 24 hours a day from 19 September ongoing until 23 December. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A500 – Alsagar to Talke: drainage works
The southbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 9 November until 13 November. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M42 – junction 9 entry and link from M6 southbound: off network work
The carriageway and slip road will be closed overnight for one night from 10.30pm on 9 November until 5.30am 10 November. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M42 – junction 3a link to M40 to M42: off network work
The northbound carriageway will be closed overnight for one night from 9pm 10 November until 6am the following morning (11 November). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M5 – junction 5a to junction 4: major scheme work
The northbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am on 7 November and 10 November. On the 7 November, the northbound entry slip road will also be closed. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M5 – junction 4a to junction 5: major scheme work
The southbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 8 and 9 November and again on 11 November. A diversion route will be clearly signposted
M54 – junction 3 to junction 2: carriageway works
The eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 9pm and 5am from 7 November until 13 November. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M54 – junction 1 exit slip road: carriageway repairs
The eastbound exit slip road will be closed overnight for one night from 9pm on 8 November until 6am the following morning (9 November). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M54 – junction 5 exit slip road: carriageway repairs
The eastbound exit slip road will be closed overnight for one night from 9pm on 10 November until 6am the following morning (11 November). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 – junction 10 to junction 8 including associated slip roads: carriageway work
The southbound carriageway and associated slip roads will be closed overnight between 9pm and 6am from 7 November until 13 November. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 – junction 10 entry slip road: carriageway work
The southbound entry slip road will be closed overnight between 9pm and 6am from 7 November until 14 November. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

The southbound entry and exit slip roads will be closed overnight between 9pm and 6am from 7 November until 13 November. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 – junction 15 exit slip road: carriageway work
The northbound exit slip road will be closed overnight for one night from 9.30pm on 7 November until 5.30am the following morning (8 November). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
