The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of 4 March 2016 but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.
A45 Stonebridge Highway: improvement scheme
The carriageway will be closed in both directions overnight between 8pm and 6am from 7 March until 11 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A46 Coventry Eastern Bypass northbound: improvement scheme
The northbound carriageway will be closed between 8pm and 6am from 7 March until 11 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A46 Teddington Hands roundabout to A44 Broadway Road roundabout: carriageway resurfacing
The northbound and southbound carriageway will be closed in overnight between 9pm and 6am from 7 March until 13 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A5 Churchbridge to Washbrook Lane: footway widening
The eastbound and westbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 7 March until 13 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A5 Washbrook Lane to Rising Sun Roundabout: footway widening
The eastbound exit slip road will be closed overnight between 8pm and 8am from 7 March until 13 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A50 Meir Tunnel to Blyth Bridge: signing and white lining
The eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 5.30am from 7 March until 10 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A50 Meir Tunnel: maintenance works
The carriageway will be closed in both directions overnight between 8pm and 5.30am from 9 March until 11 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A50 Blyth Bridge to Meir Tunnel: signing and white lining
The westbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 5.30am from 11 March until 13 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A500 Tunstall exit slip road: light column repairs
The southbound exit slip road will be closed overnight for one night from 8pm on 10 March until 6am the following morning (11 March). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M42 junction 3 exit slip road: routine maintenance
The southbound exit slip road will be closed in overnight for two nights between 10pm and 6am from 8 March until 10 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M42 junction 3 entry slip road: routine maintenance
The northbound entry slip road will be closed in overnight for one night from 10pm on 9 March until 6am the following morning (10 March). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M42 junction 1 exit slip road: structure column inspections
The southbound exit slip road will be closed in overnight for one night from 9.30pm on 10 March until 5am the following morning (11 March). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M42 junction 7a northbound link to M6 junction 4a southbound link road: sign inspections
The northbound link to the M6 junction 4a southbound link road will be closed in overnight for one night from 8.30pm on 11 March until 4am the following morning (12 March). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M42 dedicated slip road from M42 junction 6 to A45: bridge beam installation
The dedicated slip road from M42 junction 6 to the A45 will be closed from 0001 to 0600 on 13 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M5 junction 7 to 5: smart motorway scheme
The northbound carriageway, including the northbound entry slip roads at junctions 6 and 7, will be closed overnight from 8pm until 6am on 7 March, 9 March and 10 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M5 junction 5 to 7: smart motorway scheme
The southbound carriageway, including the southbound entry slip roads at junction 5 and 6, will be closed overnight from 8pm until 6am on 8 March and from 10 March to 13 March. The junction 4a northbound exit slip road to M42 will also be closed on 8 March between 8pm and 6am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M5 junction 6 to 5: smart motorway scheme
The northbound carriageway, including the northbound entry slip road at junction 6, will be closed overnight from 8pm until 6am from 11 to 13 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M50 junction 2 entry and exit slip roads: carriageway works
The entry and exit slip roads will be closed in both directions overnight between 9pm and 5am from 7 March until 13 March. Please note the slip roads will not be closed in both directions at the same time. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M54 junction 5 entry and exit slip roads: street lighting repairs
The entry and exit slip roads will be closed in both directions overnight between 8pm and 6am from 8 March until 10 March. Please note the slip roads will not be closed in both directions at the same time. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M54 junction 6 to junction 7: structures inspections
The carriageway will be closed in both directions overnight between 8pm and 2am from 9 March until 11 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 junction 5 entry slip road: bridge repairs
There will be a full 24-hour southbound entry slip road closure from 18 January ongoing until 6am on 30 June. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 junction 14 to junction 16: carriageway resurfacing
The northbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 9pm and 6am from 7 February until 13 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 junction 3 entry slip road: routine maintenance works
The southbound entry slip road will be closed overnight for one night from 8pm on 7 March until 6am on 8 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 junction 7 entry slip road to M5 junction 1: carriageway resurfacing
The northbound entry slip road to M5 junction 1 will be closed overnight between 9pm and 6am from 7 March until 12 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 junction 11 entry slip road: carriageway resurfacing
The northbound entry slip road will be closed overnight for one night from 9pm on 7 March until 6am the following morning (8 March). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 junction 10 to 10A including junction 10 entry slip road: electrical works
The northbound carriageway including the junction 10 entry slip road will be closed overnight for one night from 10pm on 8 March until 5am the following morning (9 March). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
