Planned road works in West Midlands: Weekly summary for Monday 17 November to Sunday 23 November
The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of 13 November 2014 but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.
M5 junction 5 Droitwich, Worcestershire: Structural works
The northbound carriageway will be closed between the exit and entry slip roads from 21 November to 12 December between 8pm and 6am. The diversion route will be up and over.
M5 junction 9 Tewkesbury to junction 8 M50: Resurfacing
The northbound carriageway will be closed from 27 October to 22 November between 10pm and 6am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 junction 2 to M69 Ansty, Warwickshire: Technology works
The slip road to the M69 will be closed northbound from 8pm on 22 November to 6am on 23 November. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 junction 6 Gravelly Hill, Birmingham: Barrier repairs
The exit slip roads will be closed in both directions from the M6 from 3 to 30 November between 8pm and 6am. The carriageway will also be closed southbound between the exit and entry slip roads from 9.30pm on 22 November to 10am on 23 November. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 junction 7 Great Barr, Birmingham: Carriageway works
The entry slip road will be closed southbound from 9.30pm on 22 November to 10am on 23 November. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 junction 12, Gailey to junction 13 Stone, Staffordshire: Technology works
The carriageway will be closed northbound from 9.30pm on 22 November to 6am on 23 November. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 junction 12, Gailey, Staffordshire: Carriageway works
The exit slip road will be closed northbound from 17 November to 20 November between 10pm and 8am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 junction 13 Stone, Staffordshire: Carriageway works
The exit slip road will be closed northbound from 10pm on 20 November to 8am on 21 November. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M42 junction 4a (M6 South to M42 south link) Coleshill, Warwickshire: Technology works:
The link road from M6 southbound to M42 southbound carriageway will be closed from 17 November to 22 November between 9.30pm and 5.30am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M42 junction 7 Coleshill to junction 6 NEC: Carriageway repairs
The southbound carriageway will be closed from 17 November to 22 November between 9.30pm and 5.30am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A5/A483 Mile End island, Oswestry, Shropshire: Carriageway works
The various full closures on approaches to Mile End (A5 / A483) from 29 September to 24 December 2014 between 7pm and 6am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A5 Emstrey to Preston Boats Island, Shropshire: Carriageway works
The eastbound carriageway will be closed from 24 October to 30 November between 7.30pm and 7am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A5 Preston Boats to Emstrey Island, Shropshire: Carriageway works
The westbound carriageway will be closed from 24 October to 5 December between 7.30pm and 7am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A5 Preston Boats to M54 junction 7, Shropshire: Carriageway works
The westbound carriageway will be closed from 6 November to 5 December between 7.30pm and 7am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A5 Bitterscote & Ventura Park, Tamworth, Staffordshire: Carriageway works
The westbound slip roads will be closed from 10pm on 18 November to 3.30am on 19 November. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A45/A46 Tollbar End major project, Coventry
Generally, over the period of the scheme, temporary speed limits will be in place monitored by average-speed cameras. There is now a 40mph limit on the A45 Stonebridge Highway, A46 Coventry Eastern Bypass, A45 London Road and Tollbar Roundabout. Drivers are advised to follow any diversions and not to use their Satellite Navigation Systems.
Planned traffic management for the week from Saturday 15 November (All lane and road closures during off-peak hours, 9:30am to 3.30pm and 8pm to 6am).

Until December 2014, the following 24-hour traffic management will be in place:

A46 Coventry Eastern bypass, Warwickshire: Carriageway works
The carriageway will be closed northbound from Tollbar End to the TGI Roundabout from 11 to 17 November between 8pm and 6am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A49 Bromfield to Onibury, Shropshire: Carriageway works
The carriageway will be closed in both directions from 21 October to 20 December 2014 between 7.30pm and 7am (No full closure on Sunday nights). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
