Planned road works in West Midlands: Weekly summary for Monday 16 February to Sunday 22 February 2015
The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of 12 February 2015 but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.
M5 junction 4, Lydiate Ash, Worcestershire: Bridge works
There will be a full 24-hour closure on the north and southbound carriageway from 9pm on 13 February to 6am on 17 February. A diversion route will be clearly signposted. The north and southbound carriageway will be closed from 16 February to 31 May between 9pm and 6am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M5 junction 6 to 7, Worcester: Carriageway works
The southbound carriageway will be closed from 20 to 28 February between 9pm and 6am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M5 Junction 7 to 6, Worcestershire: Carriageway works (SRW: 3116906)
The northbound carriageway will be closed from 16 to 20 February between 10pm and 6am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 junction 1 to 2, Warwickshire: Carriageway works (SRW: 3084150)
The northbound carriageway will be closed from 19 to 22 February between 10pm and 6am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 junction 6 Gravelly Hill Interchange, West Midlands: Carriageway works (SRW: 3025674)
There will be a full 24-hour closure of the eastbound link road from 16 February to 30 May. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 junction 7 to 10, West Midlands: Carriageway works (SRW: 3010952)
The northbound carriageway including like from M5 north will be closed from 16 February to 30 March between 9pm and 6am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 junction 9, Wednesbury, West Midlands: Carriageway works (SRW: 3007481)
The southbound entry slip road will be closed for 24 hours from 16 February to 30 July. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M42 junction 6, NEC/Birmingham Airport, West Midlands. Carriageway works
The northbound entry slip road will be closed from 16 to 20 February between 10pm and 6am. The southbound entry slip road will be closed from 18 to 24 February between 10pm and 6am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M50 junction 1, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire: Carriageway works
There will be a full, 24-hour closure on the westbound entry slip road from 16 February to 28 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M50 junction 2 to 4, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire: Carriageway works
The east and westbound carriageway will be closed from 16 to 27 February between 8pm and 6am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M54 junction 5 Telford to junction 3, Albrighton, Telford and Wrekin: Carriageway works
The carriageway will be closed in one direction at a time from 16 February to 13 May between 9pm and 6am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted. Additional resurfacing of the slip roads at junction 4 will be carried out between 10pm on Friday 13 February to 6am on Monday 16 February 2015, when the eastbound entry slip road will be closed. Diversions will be in place.

A5 Churchbridge Roundabout, Staffordshire: Carriageway works
The roundabout, eastbound will be closed from 16 January to 6 March between 9.30pm and 5.30am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A5 Preston Boats Island, Shropshire: Carriageway works
The east and westbound carriageway will be closed from 16 February to 6 March between 10pm and 6am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A5 Emstrey Island, Shropshire: Carriageway works
The eastbound and westbound carriageway will be closed from 16 February to 6 March 2015 between 7.30pm and 7am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A45 Oxford Road junction to M45 junction 1, West Midlands: Carriageway works
The carriageway will be closed in both directions from 16 to 28 February between 10pm and 6am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A45/A46 Tollbar End major project, Coventry
Generally, over the period of the scheme, temporary speed limits will be in place monitored by average-speed cameras. There is now a 40mph limit on the A45 Stonebridge Highway, A46 Coventry Eastern Bypass, A45 London Road and Tollbar Roundabout. Drivers are advised to follow any diversions and not to use their Satellite Navigation Systems.
Planned traffic management for the week from Saturday 14 February (All lane and road closures during off-peak hours, 9:30am to 3.30pm and 8pm to 6am).

Narrow lanes will be in place on A46 Coventry eastern bypass, northbound.

A446 Chester Road, Marston Green, West Midlands. Carriageway works
The carriageway will be closed southbound from 16 to 28 February between 10pm and 6am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
