Overnight resurfacing work on Eastville Viaduct, M32 Bristol

Road users are advised that essential overnight resurfacing work on Eastville Viaduct on the M32 junction 2 in Bristol will begin on Monday 17 March.

Work will be carried out over 20 nights between Monday evening and Saturday morning and will require full overnight closures in both directions between 8pm and 6am. The work will be completed by 17 April.

No restrictions will be in place on Saturday and Sunday nights.

Highways Agency project sponsor Mike Webster said:

Resurfacing this section of the M32 will ensure the road continues to have a safe, smooth driving surface.

We know that the M32 is an important route to and from Bristol and that is why the work will be carried out at night to minimise disruption but we advise road users to allow extra time for their journeys.

Diversion routes will vary at different stages of the work and these will be fully signed.

Junction 1 to Junction 2 - M32 Southbound:

Traffic wishing to travel on the M32 Southbound will be diverted off the M32 via the southbound exit slip at Junction 1, then right on to the A4174 until the A38 where traffic will turn left and continue to the junction with Muller Road, traffic will then turn left on to Muller Road and continue until they reach junction 2 of the M32 where they will rejoin the M32 southbound via the south bound entry slip road

Junction 2 to Junction 3 - M32 Southbound:

Traffic wishing to travel on the M32 Southbound shall be diverted off the M32 via the southbound exit slip at Junction 2, then turn right on to Muller Road, then turn left A38 where traffic will turn left and continue until the centre of Bristol. Traffic that wishes to join the M32 via the south bound entry slip road will be diverted via Muller Road and A38 in to Bristol.
