Clearly signed diversion routes will be in place during the closures and a day-time 50mph speed limit will be in operation as traffic will be running on a temporary road surface.

During the closure drivers travelling on the southbound A19 will be diverted via the A19/A174 Parkway Interchange southbound exit slip road, eastbound on the A174 Parkway, take the B1365 Hemlington Interchange eastbound exit slip road, B1365 Hemlington Lane, Stainton Way, A172 southbound, to re-join the A19 southbound at the A19/A172 Tontine Interchange.

Local traffic wanting to travel to Yarm/Crathorne will follow the local diversion route via the A19/A174 Parkway Interchange southbound exit slip road, eastbound on the A174 Parkway, A174/B1380 Stainton Interchange eastbound exit slip road, B1380 Low Lane, A1044 then follow existing signs.

The diversion routes have been planned to coordinate with the work taking place on the A19/A174 Parkway pinch point scheme and we ask that drivers follow the clearly signed diversion routes and not their sat navs systems when driving through these roadworks.
