Overnight closures for resurfacing work A1 North Brunton
The northbound North Brunton exit slip road from A1 near Western Bypass and the North Brunton roundabout will be closed overnight for essential resurfacing works from 19 September.
Drivers are advised the closures will be in place between 8pm and 6am until 9 October. A temporary 50mph speed limit will be in place for the duration of the works.
Diversions will be clearly signposted. The A1 will be open at all other times.
Nick Adshead, Highways Agency project manager, said:
This resurfacing work has been planned overnight to minimise disruption and to take place when traffic flows are at their lowest. Drivers are asked to plan their journeys and to follow the signed diversions.
