The British Embassy and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ecuador and Great Britain hosted a reception under the banner of BUSINESS is GREAT, to allow the partners and friends of the British Ecuadorean commercial community to network. The first British Business Network event was held at the Hilton Hotel in Quito with the support of AON, Cervecería Nacional, Agripac, Tevcol, Seguros Alianza, El Juri, Bupa, Apex, Hexagon, Delltex, Adelca, Glasgow, Falconi Puig Abogados, Ecuadorian Tours, Grant Thornton, Banco Amazonas.

During the event, the British Ambassador, Patrick Mulle and the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ecuador and Great Britain , Pedro Bustamante, gave speeches recognizing the importance of commercial exchanges between the two countries. Juan Falconí Puig, the new Ecuadorean Ambassador, designate to London, was also present and delivered some words about the importance of our bilateral relationship.

Several high profile entrepreneurs such as Colin Armstrong attended the event. Mr Armstrong, also donated $50,000 to the British School, Quito on the night. It was a GREAT night, enjoyed by all who attended.
