Olympic Roundup - Friday 10 August
Today's look at Foreign Office activity and the events taking place in and around the London 2012 Olympic Games.
- Minister for the Overseas Territories Henry Bellingham has welcomed Olympic Long-Jumper Shara Proctor to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Shara was born in the British Overseas Territory of Anguilla and competed for Team GB at the Olympics.
- Today the Foreign Secretary met with Dr Henry Kissinger, former US Secretary of State and National Security Adviser under the Nixon and Ford administrations. The Foreign Secretary and Dr Kissinger discussed a number of foreign policy issues, including China, Syria, Iran, the Arab Spring and Afghanistan.

Foreign Secretary William Hague has met the Kenyan Prime Minister, Raila Odinga. They discussed a range of issues, including commercial opportunities in Kenya and preparations for Kenya’s upcoming elections.
