Office closures in Italy over the Christmas period

The British Embassy in Rome and our Consulates in Italy will be closed on from Wednesday 25 to Friday 27 December, and then again on 1 and 6 January.

The Consular section in Rome will be open by appointment only on 27 December. No other services will be available.

In case of an emergency please call our switchboard on (0039) 06 4220 0001 and listen to instructions on how to get in touch with our consular assistance team, which only handles emergencies involving British citizens abroad who are in need of urgent assistance.

Examples of such emergencies include the hospitalisation, detention or death of a British national overseas.
