The Prime Minister's Spokesperson (PMS) answered questions on Welfare, Banking Commission, Fiscal cliff and Christmas.
Welfare cards
Asked if the PM shared the view of the Work and Pensions Secretary that the Government should look at ‘welfare cards’, the PMS said there were a range of options being discussed on welfare reform and referred lobby to DWP.
Banking Commission
Asked if there was going to be a statement in response to the Banking Commission report, the PMS said that was a matter for HMT.
Fiscal cliff
Asked if the Prime Minister had confidence in the plans for the fiscal cliff in the US, the PMS said there were clearly significant challenges affecting the global economy and the fiscal cliff was a matter for US legislators.
Christmas
Asked what the Prime Minister was doing for Christmas, the PMS said the Prime Minister would be spending time with his family.
