Norway: call for King's Coronation and Birthday Party sponsorship

An open call to British and Norwegian companies regarding sponsorship opportunities related to local Coronation and King's Birthday Party receptions.

This was published under the 2022 to 2024 Sunak Conservative government

This year marks the beginning of a new era in royal history. In May, we will bear witness to the first British Coronation in 70 years and, in June, His Majesty King Charles III will celebrate his first official birthday as Monarch.

To mark these historic occasions, the British Embassy in Oslo will host a Coronation reception in Håkonshallen in Bergen in May, and a business networking event in honour of the King’s birthday in the British Ambassador’s Garden in Oslo in June.

These will be our most prestigious events this year and will draw a large crowd of key business contacts. These are excellent opportunities to showcase the strength of the UK-Norway relationship as a modern, dynamic partnership. But to stage such large events, we need partners.

We are, therefore, seeking sponsors who can help us demonstrate the UK-Norway relationship in action. Sponsorship could be either financial or in-kind – and in return, we would be happy to discuss the range of promotional opportunities on offer.

By sponsoring either of these events, you would:

  • gain significant commercial and media exposure
  • showcase the very best of British products and services to a high-level senior audience
  • be part of these prestigious events as we mark these historic moments
  • align with the UK Ggovernment and British values

Any company or organisation wanting to explore these opportunities should contact the Head of Engagement & Communication Joanna George by 21 April.
