The UK is considering nominating a candidate as OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities (HCNM), which will fall vacant in August 2016. We are open to applications from UK nationals with senior political, international affairs or other directly relevant experience, an understanding of conflict issues, good mediation skills on sensitive issues, a willingness to work behind the scenes, and experience of managing an organisation.
Details on the work of the High Commissioner on National Minorities can be found on the HCNM OSCE web pages. The HCNM is based in The Hague, but the role will involve significant international travel. This is a full time position and a salary will be paid by the OSCE.
Candidates interested in other senior appointments in the OSCE or other international organisations should register their details on the senior appointments register on the Working for international organisations page.
