Memorial service for Peter Carter

A memorial service for Peter Carter, who sadly passed away recently, was held on Tuesday 21 October, 2014 at the British Deputy High Commission in Lagos.

On Tuesday 21 October, 2014, the British Deputy High Commission organized a memorial service for Peter Carter, who sadly passed away in September. The Memorial service took place at the British Residence in Ikoyi and among those that graced the occasion were Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Her Excellency Mrs Adejoke Adefulire who represented Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola. Also attending were former Head of Interim Government, Ernest Shonekan, Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, and the former Commonwealth Secretary, Emeka Anyaoku.

Highlight of the event was the watering of a tree planted in Peter Carter’s honour in the gardens of the Residence.
