The Ministers agreed on the importance of the ongoing constitutional review, and of political, media and security sector reform.
The Deputy Prime Minister is currently in London to lead a conference on infrastructure development in Zimbabwe. Lord Howell stressed that the private sector has a key role to play in helping to revive Zimbabwe’s economy and agreed that respect for the rule of law will attract investors.
Speaking after the meeting, Lord Howell commented: “The Deputy Prime Minster and I had a constructive discussion this afternoon on reform and economic development. This follows on from my discussions earlier this week with Zimbabwe’s Education, Sports and Culture Minister, David Coltart.”
