The Foreign and Commonwealth Office congratulates the newest generation of ‘John Smith Trust’ fellows, twenty-six people from the five Central Asian states who are committed to making a difference in their countries and societies.

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office supports the John Smith Trust Fellowships, named after the respected British politician John Smith, who was respected for his sincere promotion of democracy, social justice and good governance. These fellows from Central Asia will be upholding his legacy through the opportunity to apply what they have learnt from four weeks of intensive training, discussion and individual attachments in the UK.
