Candy Morris, Sir Ian Andrews and Sir Nick Partridge have been appointed on an interim basis to the board of the Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) from 1st April 2013.

Candy Morris has been appointed as Interim Chair and Sir Nick Partridge and Sir Ian Andrews have been appointed as Interim Non-Executive Directors, until substantive appointments are made after an open recruitment process.

Candy Morris said:

I was delighted to be asked to be the Interim Chair of the Health and Social Care Information Centre and very pleased to accept.

The new HSCIC will be central to the success of the health and care system – bringing together technology, information and data management to drive improvement in outcomes, quality and performance. I look forward to working with the Board and the interim Chief Executive Alan Perkins to guide the HSCIC through transition and ensure it establishes itself as the national focal point and key technology and information partner for the health and care sector.

I am pleased to welcome Sir Ian Andrews and Sir Nick Partridge as interim non-executive directors. They bring a huge amount of knowledge and experience and I am thrilled we have been able to secure their services. They will work alongside the other non executive directors, Tony Allen, Lucinda Bolton and Mike Pearson, who I would like to thank for their continued support through transition.
