Information for Media in Macedonia
In response to media reports about the death of a British national in Macedonia, our ambassador Charles Garrett said:
We can confirm the death of a British national in Macedonia on 9 October. We have offered our condolences to the family and are providing consular assistance to them at this difficult time. We are working closely with our partners in the Macedonian government as they investigate the circumstances. We are also in contact with other British nationals who have been affected by this sad event.
