Highways England is applying anti-skid surfacing to around 100 metres of the eastbound approach which should alert drivers to the fact they are nearing the roundabout and improve stopping distances.

The scheme follows on from safety improvements that were undertaken at the roundabout last year, which included new signing and road markings as well as vegetation clearance.

The work will be carried out between 8pm and 6am starting on the evening of Thursday, 9 June and completing on the morning of Saturday, 11 June.

During the works vehicles will be controlled via four way traffic signals.

The caravan park entrance will be controlled manually to provide access for residents.
