Human Rights and Democracy call for bids 2014/15

Supporting, promoting and protecting human rights and democracy work in Jordan

We are pleased to announce that the bidding window for the Human Rights and Democracy Programme (HRDP) is open. Funds are available to support organizations dedicating in working on human rights and democracy issues in Jordan. The Programme aims to make a difference to people’s lives, helping to build the capacity of governments and civil society to promote and protect human rights.

Proposals submitted under this call for bids should cover the following target thematic areas for 2014/15:

  • global torture prevention
  • abolition of the death penalty
  • promotion and protection of freedom of expression
  • upholding freedom of religion and belief
  • women’s rights
  • business and human rights
  • strengthening democratic processes
  • preventing sexual violence

All bidders should complete the concept note template and send it to: tom.rutledge2@fco.gov.uk by 28 February 2014. Selected bidders will be notified and asked to work up their bid into a full proposal once the bidding round has closed. Projects should begin from June 2014 and must be completed by end February 2015. Please note that concept notes must be submitted in English language.
