HRH The Earl of Wessex meets alumni of the University of Bath and furthers academic partnerships with leading Korean Universities.

On 30 October, the Chancellor of the University of Bath, His Royal Highness The Earl of Wessex, along with the Vice Chancellor Professor Dame Glynis M. Breakwell met with Korean alumni of the University of Bath at a reception hosted at the British Ambassador’s Residence.

Also present were Professor Nak-in Sung, President of Seoul National University (SNU) and Professor Hyun Yoon Shin, Provost of Yonsei University. SNU and Yonsei have extensive academic contacts with the University of Bath.

HRH The Earl of Wessex said:

This is not just an opportunity to meet former students from Korea who have studied at the University of Bath, but also develop partnerships with Korean universities which will lead to Bath students studying or carrying out research projects here in Korea.

The University of Bath was granted University status in 1966 by Royal Charter. It specialises in science, engineering and design, management, humanities and social sciences. In the UK, the University has been ranked first for student satisfaction for the last two years and is ranked seventh in the Times Higher Education Table of Tables. 44 Korean students currently study at the University of Bath and there are 179 Korean alumni.
