His Majesty The King honours Mr Yoshitaka Hori, Chair, President and CEO of HoriPro Group
His Majesty King Charles III has approved the award of Honorary Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE) to Mr Yoshitaka Hori in recognition of his exceptional contribution to UK culture and performing arts in Japan.
Mr Hori is a leading figure in Japan’s culture and entertainment sector. As Chair, President & CEO of HoriPro Group, over the last 20 years he has brought outstanding British musical and theatre productions to Japanese audiences. As we work to broaden and deepen the cultural exchange between our countries, we look forward to building on the legacy of partnership that Mr Hori has forged with prestigious UK institutions. Even though the challenging circumstances of the global pandemic, Mr Hori’s dedication ensured that UK productions of the highest quality were staged in Japan at an ever-increasing scale. His efforts represent an enormous contribution to the development of the cultural sector in both countries, and to the development of new audiences in Japan for the British performing arts.
