GLD makes the GC Powerlist

Jonathan Jones and Nick Olley have been recognised in Legal 500’s GC Powerlist UK 2016.

Jonathan Jones, Treasury Solicitor, and Nick Olley, Director of GLD’s Department for Transport Advisory Division, have been included in Legal 500’s GC Powerlist UK 2016.

The Powerlist identifies those senior general counsel whom industry peers consider have a proven track record of leading high-quality teams operating at board level and who demonstrate progressive thinking, strong interpersonal skills and leadership beyond the legal function.

Jonathan made the list for his role as Government’s most senior legal official and for the work he has led enlarging the Government Legal Department service by bringing several advisory divisions under his line management.

Nick was nominated for his leadership of DfT Legal Advisers since being appointed as its legal chief in 2013 and the sheer variety and of his mandate spanning as it does issues such as the HS2 project, the airports capacity programme and the on-going development of rail franchising policy.

Jonathan Jones said:

I’m delighted that just one year on from becoming the Government Legal Department we are being recognised for our wide-reaching and innovative legal work.
