Press release

Further overnight closures for A45/A46 Tollbar End scheme near Coventry – westbound

Road users are advised that there will be further overnight closures next week as part of the A45/A46 Tollbar End Improvement project near Coventry.

From Monday 19 May to Saturday 24 May, a 1.4 mile section of the A45 westbound between Tollbar End roundabout and Stivichall Junction will be closed each night (including the Saturday evening) from 8pm until 6am the following morning.

The closures are to allow the completion of drainage works associated with the scheme.

Road users are advised to follow the diversion route, and as it may be unfamiliar to them to take extra care and to drive safely.

Westbound traffic will be diverted at the junction of A45 and Tollbar roundabout onto the B4110 London Road and then onto the A4082. Traffic will then be diverted left onto the A444. At the junction with the A45 the diversion ends. The diversion routes will be clearly signed.

Road users are reminded that there will still be closures of the A45 eastbound until Saturday, 17 May, with a clearly signed diversion in place.
