Foreign Secretary meets Georgian Foreign Minister

The Foreign Secretary William Hague received Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office today.

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

The Ministers discussed shared efforts to resolve Georgia’s conflicts, progress with Georgia’s domestic reforms and regional issues.

Speaking following their meeting, the Foreign Secretary said:

“I was delighted to meet Grigol Vashadze today. We had a positive discussion on how to improve stability in the Caucasus. I underlined the UK’s support for Georgia and looked forward to our continued cooperation, including in Afghanistan and on regional conflict resolution.”
