Foreign Office concerned by situation in Cote d'Ivoire

Violence continues to occur in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire. The Foreign Office calls on all sides to exercise restraint.

Foreign Office spokesperson said:

“We are gravely concerned by the violence that continues to occur in Abidjan and deplore any loss of life. We call on all sides to exercise restraint. Reports of human rights violations must be investigated and those responsible held to account.”

The Foreign Office Travel Advice for Cote d’Ivoire has been updated to reflect the curfews that have been imposed between Thursday 31 March to Sunday 3 April inclusive from 21:00 until 06:00.
