John Rowlands, for the Environment Agency, said:

We will be carrying out routine maintenance and repairs to access gateways along weed cutting routes on several rivers in Somerset. This type of work is essential as it allows us better access later in the year with minimum disruption to the landowners. We are keen to ensure that landowners are aware that this work is being undertaken.

The Agency will be carrying out these improvements and repairs in the winter months after the annual weed cutting work is completed.
