English Speaking Union Public Speaking Competition in Minsk

Young people from around Belarus gathered at the Embassy on 22 February for the National Final of ESU Public Speaking Competition

The National Final brought together eleven talented young people who shared their views on whether “It Is Human to Discuss”. The winner of this year’s competition is Anurita Srivastava. Darya Krakavyak and Vladislav Kisin were the first and second Runner-up, respectively. Vladislav also won the Audience Choice Award. The inaugural award from the ESU Belarus Alumni was given to Maria Skorokhod.

Anurita will represent Belarus in London at The English-Speaking Union International Public Speaking Competition 2014. The international round of the competition brings together the best speakers from all over the world for a week of cultural exchange, including debates and public speaking workshops, educational trips and excursions in London, and of course the grand final.
