Earthquake in Turkey and Syria
We are deeply saddened and shocked by the earthquake which struck on 6 February 2023.
We understand that if you have been affected by the earthquake then Intellectual Property is likely to be the last thing on your mind. We nevertheless want to assure anyone affected that we will support you to safeguard your UK Intellectual Property rights.
We will use the maximum flexibility available in law to consider requests for extensions of time, reinstatements and restorations. We want to make it as simple as we can to make these requests, and we are here to talk you through this at a time when you are able to, should you need to contact us.
Where files or records relating to UK Intellectual Property rights have been lost in the earthquake, we will provide all the assistance we can to reconstitute them.
