The majority of the work will take place over the weekend to keep disruption to drivers to a minimum. During the installation of the new traffic signals the existing lights will be switched off. The roundabout will remain open during the traffic signal switch.

Work to adjust the signal operation and timings will continue until Wednesday and drivers are reminded to take extra care through the roundabout during the works.

Highways England Project Manager, Steve Bishop, said:

This is one of the final phases of this major junction improvement. We would like to take the opportunity to thank drivers for their patience while the work is taking place.

Further details about the pinch point scheme can be found on the Highways England.
