Sao Paulo – The movie “Codebreaker” presents the life and legacy of one of the most brilliant minds of last century, Alan Turing. The screening will be next Tuesday 9 April, at the Centro Brasileiro Britânico in São Paulo. The movie will end the celebrations of “The Alan Turing Year”, marked by the UKBrasil season, and is part of Cultura Inglesa’s April programme.

Alan Turing is a pioneer in the field of artificial intelligence, broke Nazi codes during the World War II and created the basis for the computers we use today. These and other stories can be found are in the movie “Codebreaker”. The documentary also shows the personal drama lived by Turing when he suffered discrimination due to his sexual orientation.
