Design Code Pathfinder Showcase – An Office for Place Webinar

Join the Office for Place to hear more about the Design Code Pathfinder programme, and the work our local authority and neighbourhood planning group partners have undertaken to deliver more healthy, beautiful, popular and sustainable places.

In March 2022 we announced the Design Code Pathfinder programme, under which we awarded 25 areas in England a share of £3 million to help them set their own standards for design locally.

The cohort includes 20 local planning authorities, 4 neighbourhood planning groups, and a development corporation. They have been preparing design codes using the processes set out in the National Model Design Code, and at different scales, including site specific codes, authority-wide codes, and codes for new garden villages.

Pathfinders submitted their draft codes at the end of May, and this event is the first opportunity to share the programme’s learnings with a wider audience.

This event will take place on 17 July, starting at 1:30pm.

We are delighted to announce that Prof Robert Adam (Office for Place Advisory Board) and Joanna Averley (Chief Planner) will also be contributing to the event.

Further speakers will be drawn from the Pathfinder programme and announced in due course.
