Between 13 to15 May, Kit Malthouse, Deputy Mayor of London for Business and Enterprise, was in İstanbul accompanied by a British trade delegation to strengthen ties between the two growing cities. Representatives from UK Trade and Investment and the London Chamber of Commerce joined him, along with 16 business delegates. The mission was part of the Mayor, Boris Johnson’s, drive to promote the UK capital in emerging markets around the world following the success of the city’s Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2012.

The Deputy Mayor and the business delegation met the Turkish Contractors Association, and the MÜSİAD business association for a panel discussion on the Istanbul Financial Centre project. This also involved İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality and the Ağaoglu Group.
