Demonstrations in Turkey

The Foreign Office has updated its travel advice for British Nationals visiting Turkey

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

Following recent demonstrations in Istanbul and other cities in Turkey in which police used tear gas and water cannons, the possibility of further demonstrations remains high. We are currently advising British nationals to avoid all demonstrations.
