Deloitte and Burges Salmon to support Doncaster Trust creation

The Department for Education has appointed Deloitte and Burges Salmon to support the creation of the Doncaster Children’s Services Trust.

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

Deloitte will provide consultancy services, including performing due diligence checks and other commercial work. Burges Salmon will provide legal services to lead the process of staff transfer and developing a contract between the council and the trust. Both companies are beginning work immediately to meet the agreed timescale for the Doncaster Children’s Services Trust to operate in shadow form from 1 April 2014, and to be fully operational by 1 September 2014.

Doncaster Children’s Services Trust has been registered as a company limited by guarantee, and work is underway to establish the board. The Department for Education has also appointed Gatenby Sanderson to lead the appointment of a chief executive for the Doncaster Children’s Services Trust.
