Prime Minister David Cameron flew in for talks with President Vladimir Putin in Sochi, host city of the 2014 Winter Olympics.
They discussed a range of foreign policy issues, including Syria and bilateral links, the Olympic Games, and plans for security co-operation on Sochi. Together they visited Olympic stadia, which will host many of the competitions. They saw the main Fisht Stadium, which will host the opening and closing ceremonies and after the Olympic Games will be one of the 2018 Football World Cup competition venues. Fisht is both British designed and built with British involvement in several of the other Olympic facilities.
