Committee on Radioactive Waste Management hold public meetings

CoRWM is hosting a series of public meetings to provide the opportunity for members of the public to meet the Committee and find out about its work.

CoRWM is hosting a series of public meetings to provide an opportunity for members of the public to meet the committee members and discuss their work. The Committee advises and scrutinises the work of the UK Government and the Devolved Administrations on the management of Higher Activity Radioactive Waste, including in England the process for finding a site for a Geological Disposal Facility. You will have the opportunity to ask questions of experts who collectively have a wealth of knowledge and experience on radioactive waste issues, and let the committee know your own views on the subject. In advance of the meeting, you may wish to see CoRWM’s response to the Government’s Consultation on the GDF Siting Process.

A meeting will held be in Workington at the Hunday Manor Country House Hotel from 18:30 to 20:00 on Wednesday 30th April 2014, followed by similar meetings in Caithness and Anglesey.
