The Charity Commission is inviting charities, trustees and their advisers to attend its annual public meeting on 16 September 2015, which will take place at Church House in Westminster from 4pm to 6pm. The meeting is an important part of the commission’s commitment to public accountability and transparency.

The meeting will feature prominent MP and author Frank Field. As the keynote speaker for this year’s Charity Commission Lecture, he will be taking the podium to speak on ‘A giving society?’. There will also be an opportunity for attendees to comment and discuss the topic.

The meeting will be chaired by William Shawcross, Chairman of the commission, who will also open the meeting. Attendees will then hear from the regulator’s Chief Executive, Paula Sussex, on the commission’s work over the last year and plans for the coming months. This will be followed by a Q&A whereby attendees can ask questions of William, Paula and the executive team.

The event will conclude with a drinks reception.
