Carriageway repairs to start on A2 Jubilee Way in Dover, Kent
Work starts next Monday (2 June) on the A2 Jubilee Way in Dover to repair manhole covers on the viaduct.
Several manhole covers need repairing to ensure journeys remain safe and reliable. The work will be carried out using overnight carriageway closures with signed diversions in place and is due to be completed, weather permitting, on Sunday 15 June.
Highways Agency Structures Manager Bala Vishnubala said:
We want to ensure that journeys continue to remain safe and reliable for the tens of thousands of drivers that rely on this route. By doing the work now we will provide a long lasting solution that will reduce long term maintenance. To minimise the disruption the work will be carried out overnight, when traffic flows are lowest.
The work will be carried out overnight, between 8pm and 6am. The A2 will be closed in both directions between the A258 and A20 with fully signed diversions in place via the A256 and A20.
