Roundtable discussion on Violence Against Women

The British High Commision brought together influential women from NGOs, US Embassy in Cameroon and a representative of the minister for Women’s Empowerment and the Family on Thursday 6 March.

British Chevening scholar Laura Anyola Tufoin moderated discussions which agreed on a range of priorities which will assist in the fight against violence being committed against women.

The Deputy British High Commissioner, Mrs. Allison Marriott said preventing and responding to Violence against women is a priority issue for the UK government and is one of the four pillars of DFID’s strategic vision for girls and women.
