The group will act as an informal advisory board to the Secretary of State.
The members are:
Professor John Kay** **- visiting Professor of Economics at the London School of Economics. He is a former Chairman of London Economics and has held chairs at the London Business School and Oxford University. He specialises in the application of economics to business problems.
Rachel Lomax - non- Executive Director of HSBC. She is a former Deputy Governor of the Bank of England and a former Vice President of the World Bank, and former Permanent Secretary at the Welsh Office, Department of Work and Pensions and Department of Transport.
Vicky Pryce CB - Chief Economic Adviser and Director General at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and Joint Head of the UK Government Economic Service. She will formally join the group later this summer when she rejoins the private sector as Senior Managing Director at FTI.
Lord Sharman - Chairman of Aviva plc. He is former Chairman of KPMG International and is a Liberal Democrat Business Spokesman in the House of Lords.
